The Amistad City Tournament was held October 11-12. It was tough, needless to say, but it was rough for all clubs. There was no club that really ran away with it. Congratulations to the Rebel Bass Club for winning 1st place at 131.55 lbs. We came in 6th place with 100.27 lbs. The wind was a major factor for all clubs for both Saturday and Sunday. It made it difficult to fish your favorite spot. We all pray for rain so our lakes can fill up, but the end result is tougher fishing. Amistad is full and that only means the spawning period should be great for 2009. Better luck next time.

We had fourteen participants, caught 55 fish for a total weight of 121.64 lbs. On Saturday, Richard Ball had a limit of 14.36 lbs. In second place was Ngarm Ball with 4 fish at 11.45 lbs. In third place was Scott Caro with 4 fish at 8.22 lbs.

On Sunday, Richard came in with 3 fish to take 1st place at 20.77 lbs. Chad Bachhofer came out of nowhere with 4 fish , a patch fish for 4.54 lbs, to take second place at 15.64 lbs. Way to go Chad! Ngarm came in 3rd place with 14.66 lbs. David Wimberley came in 4th place with the only limit for Sunday and a patch fish of 4.02 lbs.
